All vehicles entering the Scenic Drive need a free reservation, which is available online. Note: Currently, Red Rock Canyon has a timed entry reservation system. A visitor center provides a great introduction to the unique natural and cultural history of this area along with safety and orientation information. There are 12 different trailheads and free parking areas to begin your next outdoor adventure. The Scenic Drive, a 13 mile paved road, provides access to explore the many special canyons and sandstone hills in the heart of the canyon. It’s the perfect time of the year to visit Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, which features a 13-mile scenic drive, miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking, road biking, and picnic areas and many other outdoor recreation opportunities… just 25 minutes away from Silverton.
